The finest Windows laptop money can buy — with caveats
I have owned the Dell XPS 15 9530 for eight months and it remains the best-looking Windows laptop I have ever used. The machined aluminium chassis is a work of art and the 3.5K OLED InfinityEdge display is breathtaking — perfect contrast, vibrant colours, and sharp enough that you can see individual pores in close-up photos. Intel Core i7-13700H paired with RTX 4060 handles video editing in Premiere Pro at 4K without issues. The compact 15-inch form factor at under 2kg is impressive for the specs. However, the XPS 15 runs hot. Under sustained load the chassis gets noticeably warm and the fans become loud. Thermal throttling kicks in during extended rendering sessions which slows down the CPU. The port selection is also a problem — three USB-C ports and no USB-A means you need a dongle for virtually everything. These are significant caveats for a laptop at this price. Beautiful machine, but Dell needs to solve the thermal problem.

Gorgeous laptop for professionals but thermal issues are real
Bangalore mein senior software engineer hoon aur Dell XPS 15 company expense pe kharida. Pehli nazar mein hi laptop ka design dekhke dil khush ho gaya - silver aluminium body, thin bezels, stunning OLED display. Office mein rakhte hain toh log poochte hain kaunsa laptop hai, itna premium dikhta hai. Performance ke liye Intel Core i7 + RTX 4060 combination mera 4K video editing workflow smoothly handle karta hai. VS Code mein 40 tabs aur Chrome mein 20 tabs simultaneously - koi lag nahi. Lekin ek serious problem hai - thermal management. Sustained code compilation ya video rendering karte waqt laptop neeche se bahut hot ho jaata hai, fans ki awaaz bahut tez ho jaati hai aur performance throttle bhi hoti hai kabhi kabhi. Dongle ki baat toh mat puchho - sirf USB-C ports hain toh monitor, mouse, keyboard ke liye hub banana padega. Premium product hai lekin premium price ke liye thermal issues accept nahi karne chahiye.
