Absolute beast machine but needs constant power outlet

Engineering college ke final year mein hoon aur ROG Strix G16 2024 apne freelance projects se purchase kiya. Is laptop pe kaam karna literally ek alag anubhav hai. RTX 4070 se Unreal Engine 5 projects render karna jo pehle hours lagate the ab minutes mein ho jaata hai. Display ki quality itni achhi hai ki colour grading ka kaam bhi is pe karte hain. But ek baat clearly bol doon - yeh portable laptop nahi hai. College le jaate hain toh 2.4kg weight aur charger bhi 200W ka hai toh bag bahut bhaari ho jaata hai. Battery mein bhi sirf 3-4 ghante milte hain normal use mein. Desk pe rakha hua yeh machine sahi hai lekin travel ke liye mat socho. Agar power outlet access ho hamesha toh yeh best laptop hai under 2 lakh mein.

The RTX 4070 paired with Intel Core Ultra 9 185H handles every game at maximum settings at 1440p. The 240Hz QHD display is incredibly smooth and the ROG Nebula panel has excellent colour accuracy for both gaming and creative work. Thermals are excellent — the liquid metal thermal compound keeps the CPU well under 90 degrees even during hours of gaming. The MUX Switch makes a significant difference in GPU performance by bypassing the integrated GPU. Build quality is solid and the keyboard has excellent travel. Battery life in power saving mode is around 4 hours for regular work which is acceptable for a gaming laptop. The ROG Intelligent Cooling means the fans stay quiet during light tasks and ramp up appropriately under load. If your budget can stretch to ₹1,79,990 this is the best 16-inch gaming laptop in India bar none.
